printing in color

I have finally mastered printing including multiple pages. I have 2 things I am trying to do. 1.. Print a line of text to the printer in color (assuming printer supports color). I can't figure out how to set the color to print using paint.drawtext 2.. I want to create a rectangle area on the page fi...

Re: Dialog save file

nobody is missing anything. I did it with the dialog.path but it still does not work. I am using gtk which I have found to be the least troublesome. The idea behind this is that I want to save a file from a program. I want to provide a default name for the user that includes date information in the ...

Dialog save file

I am stumped on what should be simple. I call the dialog to save a file but I want a default file name to save as in the dialog in case the person doesn't feel like typing in a filename an automatically generated one is available if they just hit ok. It should work similar to the inputbox command wh...

Re: gb.gui error after install

I worked around this by selecting gtk in the properties and deselecting the gb.gui. it works fine that way.

Re: gb.gui error after install

I have the components checked are..

gb
gb.form
gb.form.dialog
gb.gui
gb.image

install is for fedora.
I checked to see if there was a spot to specify these for the install package but I did not see anything. I assume it is picked up from the properties.

gb.gui error after install

I have created a RPM install package for software. for some reason after I install it on a fresh system it gives "gb.gui: error: unable to find any GUI component" the gambas3 runtime is installed. This goes away if I install full gambas3 but that is not what I want to do on client systems. I am sure...

Re: proxy servers

Not quite what I was looking for. the component is available if you add the gb.net.curl component under project properties. I believe they operate the same so what applies to one would apply to the other. However what I am asking is how to make it work with a proxy example. 123.123.123.123 on port 1...

proxy servers

I need to connect to internet over a proxy server. I have the linux fedora environment set to work with the proxy server in the network settings. http, https, socks, ftp all set. however when I use gambas http component it does not work with the proxy. I am assuming I just do not know how to set it ...

Re: icons

thanks for the answer to question number 1. I finally had a chance to test it and it worked perfectly. however still trying to figure out the icons in the buttons. only works with full install of gambas3 not the runtime.

Re: icons

I use fedora so I set it for an RPM in the create package. It installs whatever dependencies are required as the programs run, just does not have the stock imagery. So the answer as to what is installed on the clean system is whatever the default is from the RPM.
