Re: Gambas on Windows

Did you manage to create a shortcut to start Gambas directly from Win Desktop with VcXsrv, as described in your post with Xming?
It works the same way, once VcXsrv is running (Big 'X' in the System Tray). My shortcut to Gambas3 is: -

Code: Select all

C:\Windows\System32\wsl.exe DISPLAY=:0 gambas3

Re: Addressing several objects on a form in 1 line of code

Hi annisu and welcome to the forum and you are the 100th member "ta da!!"

I'm with Steve on this. I can't change the Foreground but the code works fine for the Background. I think you can simplify one line though to: -
If mycontrol Is Separator Then mycontrol.BackGround = Color.green

Re: Fruit machine

On line 67 in FMain I added a Wait 0.5 so the "handle" sound meshed better with the reels starting to spin. That works! It ran about the same speed on all three of my systems. That's nice to know as I tried it on a Celeron and it was BAD! :( It was very difficult to stop the reels picking up speed ...

Re: Packaging Gambas for Debian

With *buntu and its derivatives, Mint etc. you can use the Gambas ppa. I have no idea if it will work on Debian but this link seems to think that it is not a problem after you install the necessary software. The Terminal commands I use, in Mint, are: - Gambas3 Stable sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:g...
