Re: Did you know?

This does not work with the Cinnamon Desktop as the key stroke is reserved for showing all Virtual Desktops. In the Gambas IDE put the cursor on a line and press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Up Arrow]. This will move the whole line up and will jump over other lines. [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Down Arrow] will move it down. Thi...

Re: JSON files

Your code works but the 'TypeOf (v)' is never 'True' so is not called. This code will get the 'Keys' of the 1st and 2nd depth. Public Sub Main() Dim vNew, vTemp As Variant Dim sNew As String Dim cCol, cCol1 As Collection Shell "wget -O - https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnTicker" To sNew vNew...

Re: JSON files

Thanks for all the effort here. I can't get much from the Jornmo example. I tried the following Public Sub Main() Dim vNew As Variant Dim sNew As String Dim cCol, cCol1 As Collection Shell "wget -O - https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnTicker" To sNew vNew = Json.decode(sNew) ''Requires compon...

Re: JSON files

This started with a question from Brad on the 'other' forum (which seems to be a forum no longer). I managed to sort the problem for which I recveived the heart warming "Awesome! Thank you so much!" but I thought I'd dig further and automatically get all the data into arrays. The URL I am using came...

Re: JSON files

Thanks SteveDee. There is no doubt that this works but I am having trouble getting my head around the logic. I haven't worked out how to get the next set of 'Keys', but this is a start, thanks. :?

JSON files

I am trying to enumerate the 'Keys' in a Gambas decoded JSON file. If I run the code below I can print the data associated with the key but not the keys. Public Sub Main() Dim vNew As Variant Dim sNew As String Shell "wget -O - https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnTicker" To sNew vNew = Json.de...

Re: Program start

I thought you might have a point about the way I put the form together so I tried a new project with code only and it's still the same and wont work without the 'Me.Show' line. Public Sub Form_Open() Dim hButton As Button Dim siCount As Short With Me .Arrangement = Arrange.Vertical .padding = 5 .H =...

Re: Program start

That's it, you've cracked it! The FMain.Show is the answer. I didn't think of that. Thanks.

Re: Program start

OK I have bumped into this again and my tricks don't work in this case. Have a look at the attached dice simulation. Can it be made to work without the Timer?
