"And" query

If you look at the code below you will see that the IF statement will fail as bTest is False so why do I get an 'Out of bounds' error from the fact that iValue[2] does not exist. I would have expected that iValue would not be checked as the first part failed. Does this happen in other languages? Pub...

Re: PictureBox image not clearing

I have loaded Kubuntu 17.10, added the Gambas ppa for Gambas 3.10.0 (stable) then run my program and it works just fine. Have a look at the video I created here http://www.cogier.com/test/.

Re: PictureBox image not clearing

Even though the help files say that the '.Picture.Clear' clears the picture. I can not get the picture to clear using Quin's code.

Re: Gridview Scroll issue

Thanks SteveDee. By using GridView1.Scroll(0, GridView1.ScrollHeight) the scroll bar moves to the end of the data. I think that 'ScrollHeight' is a strange name for this thought. I changed the code in my 'problem' to the following: - Public Sub ButtonStart_Click() 'When the 'Start' Button is clicked...

Gridview Scroll issue

I want to display the last item(s) on a GridView display, not the first. I can do it but the values needed make no sense to me. Have a look at the attached program that demonstrates my query. Thanks. GridScrollProblem.tar Public Sub ButtonStart_Click() 'When the 'Start' Button is clicked... Dim iCou...

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm getting there. If you want to see what it was all about you can see progress here https://github.com/charlie-ogier/Find_In_Files. If you do test the program please report any bugs, an email address is in the "About" section.

Re: List only the files without extensions

Further interesting find. Try the following code that will tell you the extensions of your Home folder's hidden files. I thought I could use: - If File.ext(Folder &/ Name) = "" Then.. But it does not work for files that start with a dot '.' Public Sub Main() Dim sList As String[] Dim sTemp As String...

Re: List only the files without extensions

Thanks SteveDee, good point.

Jornmo you created a flurry of emails about this. I to tried various 'Like' options with no success. Anyway at least I know that I need to write the code 'by hand'.
