Re: Initial screen too big ...or is it just me?

1920x1080...No problems here on openSUSE Leap 15... Yes, that looks like the proper un-clipped image. I think its an un-sizeable image (although grayghost4 seems to be able to scale his) and I reckon the designer is also using a 1920x1080 screen. Mine won't resize like grayghost4. It did while usin...

1920x1080
No problems here on openSUSE Leap 15. Haven't tried to upgrade Gambas my Debian box yet.

Re: We're now GDPR compliant

I've found a (temporary?) solution. Not sure why I started getting those popup notices months after I had accepted the cookie policy. I'd get the popup saying I needed to accept the policy, but there wasn't anything provided to accept. For fun and giggles I disabled my ad blocker, and low and behold...

Re: Try replacing InStr with String.InStr if code is suddenly acting strange

This is a Gambas bug. The problem exits on openSUSE Leap 15 also. Worked ok with Gambas 3.11.x, but not with 3.12.x. I imagine it will also fail on my Debian 9.6 box if I were to upgrade Gambas from 3.11.x to 3.12.x (update not in my repo yet).

Re: How to connect to web database

Since I run my own dedicated, off-site server I can open up access to my databases. When I do do this, I make sure it is accessible only to my remote (home) IP address. I know this doesn't help you in your situation, but I just wanted to throw this out there. Also, make sure any code you use on your...

Re: We're now GDPR compliant

This (GDPR) has been a PAIN in my butt! :x Even after jumping through all the hoops, I've been bugged by a pop up on every link I click. It worked ok at first, but after a few months the problems began. The only way I can log in, navigate, post, or reply is to open each link in a new tab. Each click...

Re: MKDIR issue

Thanks, cogier, for your reply. I figured out what was wrong: 1. working on code after coming home from 12 hours of work on too little sleep and being awake almost 16 hours  2. remembering differently what code I thought I copied and what I actually copied 3. updating Gambas in the middle of ...

MKDIR issue

Has something changed in the past few Gambas releases? I used to be able to create a nested directory structure to store app data. The last app I created was 2 about years ago (using Gambas 3.8.x) and it worked fine. I've recently updated to 3.11.4 on both my openSUSE and Debian boxes and I'm findin...
