Re: 'Ends'

That's great cogier! an interesting example.

I played around with it for a while, and then I sort of 'drifted off', creating this one liner using Last.Name.

Re: Gridview borders

OK try this:- Public Sub Form_Open() Dim hBorder As Border hBorder = New Border 'specify cell border With hBorder .Width = 5 .Color = Color.Red .BottomStyle = Border.Raised .BottomColor = Color.DarkBlue .TopColor = Color.Green End With GridView1.Columns.Count = 3 GridView1.Rows.Count = 4 GridView1.H...

Re: Gridview borders

Its certainly not a complete answer, and I've just looked at it again and found that using a Static Function:- GridView1[1, 1].Border = Border("style:double;color:Red") ...works just as well. Also, if you type:- GridView1[1, 1].Border. ...you are offered a list of possible Properties. So it looks li...

Re: Gridview borders

Hi cogier, this is one of those cases where I find Gambas documentation pretty useless. However, I discovered that this format seems to work; GridView1[1, 1].Border = New Border("style:double;color:Red") Unless something is obvious to beginners (& me), there needs to be a working example + a plain E...

Re: 3.10 - Strange Message something about 'Desktop.H'

... or can make a guess? I really have no idea. If it happened to me, I'd try menu Project > Compile All as this has fixed a few strange problems for me in the past. What version of Gambas are you using? Are you able to upload your project here? I'm sure one or two of us would be interested in tryi...

Re: "And" query

Hi cogier, Gambas is checking your code first and finding an error (that the assignment of the value is illegal or out of bounds). It hasn't got to the stage of evaluating the If expression yet.

Re: How to simulate "Enter" key

You can use Desktop.Sendkeys("[Return]") if that is what you mean.

Re: Gridview Scroll issue

Also, if you change your row count to 100, you can use a simple fraction or multiplier to display any row e.g. GridView1.Rows.count = 100 'Amount of Rows needed GridView1.Columns.count = 1 'Amount of Columns needed For iCount = 0 To 99 'Count from 0 to 100 GridView1[iCount, 0].Text = Str(iCount) 'Ad...
