Gambas 3.12.0 is here!

Gambas 3.12.0 is here! WARNING: - Ubuntu 14.04, Mint 17 or any other derivative of 14.04 and using the ppa may cause you to loose Gambas. I have put in a help request on the mailing list on this. I have not tested Mint 18 (Ubuntu 16.04) but Mint 19 (Ubuntu 18.04) updates with the ppa without problem...

Re: enumerating an collection

I think that you can do what you want with a simpler edit structure. I have taken your file opened it and split it by line, then created a new array without all the indentation. You can edit the data then replace the old data with the new. This leaves the indentation as it was. I hope it helps. Plan...

Hi grayghost4,

Can you tell us what it is you are trying to achieve and please upload the 'conssendo_s.srm' file so we can see what you see.

Re: MKDIR issue

Your code is failing as you are trying to create a folder at root:- Line 1 refers to /home/<name>/Test Line 2 refers to /Test/Test1 - You need root access to create this, hence the error. Your first line is correct but your second line also needs the 'User.Home &/'. The code below works. Public Sub ...

Re: Odd behaviour of label.enter event

I have knocked up a bit of code with over 200 labels and a Balloon pops up every time. I have tried it with GTK and QT4 and it works well.

Have a look at the code and see if it helps. If not can you post some code to demonstrate the problem.

Re: how to .... larger font in information window

I have loaded a copy of Fedora 29 (64 bit) Workstation and Gambas. All works as I expected so I think you are misunderstanding the process. I have created a video using Linux Mint (as I know how to record the screen) which shows how to achieve what I was failing to explain properly last time. Hopefu...

Re: how to .... larger font in information window

Ah! If you mean the Help part of the window then the advise given above wont work. I do not know how to make that bigger. Having said that you can select 'Message.Question' then while the cursor is on that text press F2. This will open the same window but in a browser window. There you can make the ...

Re: how to .... larger font in information window

I looked at this and I found that if you changed the Editor font it worked without changing the surrounding text.

Re: Json formating output

Your code works but you can use .Max instead of .Count -1 and you don't need so many brackets in the 'Save' line. For iCount = 0 To sFile.Max sLoad2 &= sFile[iCount] & gb.NewLine Next File.save("~/testfile2.txt", sLoad2) However Gambas can do this in one line with 'Join', no need for the loop above....
