Re: List only the files without extensions

Further interesting find. Try the following code that will tell you the extensions of your Home folder's hidden files. I thought I could use: - If File.ext(Folder &/ Name) = "" Then.. But it does not work for files that start with a dot '.' Public Sub Main() Dim sList As String[] Dim sTemp As String...

Re: List only the files without extensions

Thanks SteveDee, good point.

Jornmo you created a flurry of emails about this. I to tried various 'Like' options with no success. Anyway at least I know that I need to write the code 'by hand'.

Re: List only the files without extensions

Thanks SteveDee, I too came up with this solution but I wondered if there was an easier way. There is still a problem with this method as a file like .text which does not have an extension will fail to be displayed so more code is needed. By the way have a look here regarding putting Gambas code on ...

List only the files without extensions

If I run the code below I will get a list of all the files ending in '.png' in my Home directory. Is there a way to list ONLY the files with no extension? :? Public Sub Main() Dim sList As String[] Dim sTemp As String Dim sPattern As String = "*.png" sList = Dir(User.home, sPattern, gb.file) For Eac...

Re: Raspberry Pi camera module

Hi Sony,

You cannot see the 'raspistill' output over SSH so the program takes a photo 75 times a minute that is stored in RAM which is quicker and does no damage to the SD card. The picture can then be seen over a SSH link.

Glad it helped,

Re: Raspberry Pi camera module

OK let's see if I have got this right. Attached is my PiCam software with a additional Form and Class. Run the program. Take a picture with the size at 800 x 800 then click on the 'Sony' button and you will see the picture you took in a DrawingArea. Is this what you are looking for? This will only w...

Re: Raspberry Pi camera module

I am trying to understand what you are trying to do, can you explain what you hope to achieve.

Are you using the Pi and a USB camera or a Pi Camera?

Are you trying to capture the video on the Pi or stream it to another computer?

Re: B4A

I have had a look at RFO but I found the IDE not very good and that you had to program on the phone or use a development kit did not help. However I did find a APK creator for it AND it's written in Gambas, but I can't get it to work. It is available here http://rfo-basic.com/x-quickapk.html.

Re: Raspberry Pi camera module

I presume you mean streaming from the pi to a computer using SSH as Matt and I did with his robot (It had a camera on it then!). 2016-08-07 14.11.32.resized.jpg On the Pi create a file (e.g. startvideofeed.sh) with only the following: - raspivid -o - -t 0 -hf -w 640 -h 360 -fps 25 | cvlc -vvv stream...

Re: USB disk serial number

Here is another way of doing it. This works in Linux Mint but whether it will work in other distros is another matter.
