This is good but I have discovered that Gambas, of any version, is NÒT included in the Ubuntu 18.04 repositories! I think this is very unfortunate as Ubuntu is the base for many other distros.

Could you try again as this might have been sorted earlier this week:-

I haven't upgraded my Lubuntu yet because there are always problems with upgrades. I'll need to test on an old computer first ...when I find time!

I have tried Gambas 3:11 on Ubuntu 18.04 but I needed to use the ppa.

What I meant was that Gambas is not in the Ubuntu 18.04 repositories. It's not there at all!

If you have a look here https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/allp ... mat=txt.gz you can search all packages.

EDIT: - Gambas 3.11.1 is now in the stable ppa for Ubuntu 16.04 & Mint 18.3

I just tried out Solus, which is up and coming. It wasn't there either.

My Lubuntu 17.10 must have updated itself recently to Gambas 3.11.1 ...I hadn't even noticed!

 Sounds like really good advice!

However, is there a ppa or something that I can use for 18.04?
