Ps Astra SE 1.7 kinda sucks and is quite outdated. Debian is at 12 now, 10 is very old. I'd recommend just using latest Debian or Linux mint then things will be more up to date. also i think if it is debian based you should be able to add the main debian repositories to your source list. there has been talk about joysticks on other more relevant forum topics but the IDE does not have any joystick features.
