Re: 3 Issues using Linux Mint 20

Re: Versions On the latest install on a LM 20 machine Gambas is 3.14.3 which seems very strange {obviously the LM provided updater/installer is in question} On the source machine LM 19.3 Gambas is 3.18.2 {Don't know if finally accepting Linux updates on this machine changed this} I will use your adv...

Re: 3 Issues using Linux Mint 20

Well thanks for all the detailed responses. IMO, Gambas is the ONLY reason I remain with Linux as without it, I'd be hard pressed to create applications to serve MY needs {nothing commercial}. It is a great program and hopefully I did not offend anyone associated with it's creation. Yes, I have, tha...

3 Issues using Linux Mint 20

Tried to load gambas3 onto a Linux Mint 20 machine and when attempting to launch, just got a small spinning circle for about 10 seconds then nothing. Seems this was a known issue but never incorporated in the latest download. This fixed that problem. sudo apt install gambas3-gb-form-print [this is t...

Re: SOLVED: Cannot expand/collapse anything in form/mod.Class

Thank you very much for the reply. This was a bone head operator error. Somehow I must have clicked on the Num Lock. I never would have suspected that would cause this issue but once I was attempting to use the number pad to enter data, the number pad would not work.

Thanks again!

SOLVED: Cannot expand/collapse anything in form/mod.Class

SOLVED: NUM LOCK caused this. I never KNOWINGLY use NumLock but I must have hit it. Ctrl-Alt-Enter does work so I can keep programming but I don't know what is preventing clicking on the +/- to expand/collapse individual subs/functions. Have a handful of various Gambas projects which were working fi...

Re: "Critical" Error msg in working progam

Thank you Bruce. I'll update after I finish this program {99% done} and if I can successfully compile it to an .exe {Have 8 programs which never compiled well and more than likely 100% my fault}. I just run them in development mode as they are only for myself. In my former Corporate life, I had over...

Re: "Critical" Error msg in working progam

Thanks for the replies. I am using 3.16.3 and given how many times I've been bitten by "updates", I generally fall way behind. Running Linux Mint ver 19.3 and have not updated it as the last time I lost all ability to copy/paste login/passwords into web pages and even all the "Fixes&q...

"Critical" Error msg in working progam

I have a fully functional program which, in development mode, constantly posts a "Critical" error msg in the Console Window. Gtk-CRITICAL **: 13:57:26.980: gtk_box-gadget_distribute: association 'size >= 0' failed in GtkRadioButton I only have 2 Radio Buttons on one form and they function ...

Attach to sqlite file over my network

I have a functioning Gambas3 program which plays very nice with a sqlite database located in the "project" directory of my laptop. I'd like this sqlite DB reside on a network drive so that one of 2 laptops can connect to it, At no time will both laptops try to connect to this DB at the sam...
