Re: How can I display Rich Text in a TextLabel

You can't use '.RichText'. Just use HTML. I also agree with Steve, you don't need all those spaces. A <p> does not require a </p>. Try this code that adds the Gambas help page that you can see here . https://www.cogier.com/gambas/HTML.png ' Gambas class file ''FMain Public Sub Form_Open() With Me .H...

Re: gb.desktop.x11

I wanted to help .... upgraded to 16 ... but do not have gb.desktop.x11 :(
Try installing it. You need to install gambas3-gb-desktop-x11. On Debian, Ubuntu, Mint etc use: -

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get -y install gambas3-gb-desktop-x11

gb.desktop.x11

Can you try adding the component gb.desktop.x11 to a program and see if you get the following error.

I have put a bug in for this but Benoît can't replicate the problem.

Thanks

Re: Debugging: Stop program if variable = value ?

Just put a Stop in the code where you want it to stop and then highlight the variable to see its value.
Public Sub Form_Open()

Dim sDir As String[] = Dir(User.Home &/ "Pictures")

  Stop

End

Re: What's happening with v3.16.0 updates?

I currently have -build12 installed, but -build13 is now listed and I guess that's the one that is giving you a problem.
Where do you find the 'Build' information?

Re: How do I use 'created' controls?

But it would be a lot easier for a beginner if there were some examples to be found, wouldn't it.
Have a look at this example here.

The use of Quit is not recommended for GUI programs, you should use Me.Close.

Re: For loop files vs folders

A simpler solution could be: - Dim DirString As String = User.Home &/ "Desktop" For Each filename As String In Dir(DirString, "*", gb.File) Copy DirString &/ filename To DirString &/ "NewFolder2" &/ filename Next TIP for GBowlsby Use the gb button for adding code not the </> button, It will then for...

Re: The benefits of using vector graphics

It would be a lot easier if I could just attach my Union-Jack.svg to the post, but as I found out before, this forum doesn’t seem to allow that. Why that is, I have no clue. As Bruce said just compress the file then you can upload it. I converted it to .svg online, so it got well compressed. Union-...
