Re: Using gb.util prompt/expect with ssh client

This is going over my head. However, if you can do all this in Java and PHP then why not use that code and pull it in to Gambas to display.

Here is a Gambas program in which I created some simple Python, ran the Python and displayed the result in Gambas.

Re: Using gb.util prompt/expect with ssh client

Welcome to the forum.

This is a puzzle. Two of us have been trying to get this to work for the last 3 hours with very little progress. We haven't given up just yet, so watch this space. Can you tell us what you are trying to achieve, there maybe another way to do this?

Re: Not the farm problem but mine Solved

Not being a math expert ...I don't know which way would be best ... ( that is why the books say DO NOT USE FLOAT FOR FINANCE ) I think I will change the input to use a string to prevent that. :D I think you are correct. Maybe you should take your iValue and multiply it by 100 before you start so th...

Re: Not the farm problem but mine Solved

I used a test value of 89726.23, and it came back with 22 Cents. I have added a little code to rectify this at line 6. I also change 0 Cents to 'only'. This may be a cultural thing, but that's how we do it this side of the pond, not that I have written a cheque in years. It's all done by BACS now! P...

Re: Background tasks

Wow! There is a lot going on there. I am interested on how you do your printing with Gambas. I have managed to get it to work reliably using gb.cairo which I built in to a program for work that creates labels with text and barcodes. You are using RS232 barcode scanners, is that a challenge? I use US...

Re: Background tasks

Could I use the actual transaction number as the file name?
There is no reason you can't save the file as you suggest. I would just be careful that if you have multiple 'Tills' you ensure the names don't end up the same.

Perhaps 1000001.dat for 'Till' one and 2000001.dat for 'Till' two.

Re: the farm is still down ??

I am looking for code to convert a number to text for a check writing program Run this code in a 'Graphical application'. It will display text up to 999.99. Hopefully it will get you started. ' Gambas class file $Int As String $Frac As String HBox1 As HBox HBox2 As HBox Panel1 As Panel ValueBoxInpu...

Re: Background tasks

A possible solution would be to save each completed transaction to a folder saved with the 'Till' it came from and the date and time in the file name. A background task (perhaps a different Gambas program) would take each file in the correct order, process it and rename it to indicate it had been pr...

Re: the farm is still down ??

There was an issue with Gambas. One accessing the Gambas Farm, so we are not doing it any more. You can access the Farm from Gambas: -
