Re: new profile fields

Does it have a "custom" entry or you just put the main official versions in? this is my version. 3.20.99 53dfc9b4c (bruces-patched) the git commit hash changes often. Maybe add a text box for adding additional version info? then you won't have to edit the pages selection list to add every...

Re: Update June 7

I dont remember voting for all these changes??? Those who choose to remain silent in the beginning have little say at the end. I've posted plenty of times of the new website giving opportunity to ask questions and make comments, but most members chose to remain silent. I created new forums just for...

Re: new profile fields

"I cannot see it being kept up to date. Ie. i think people will add the info to start then never update it when they update their gambas/OS" +100 Has never worked, never will. ym20c b If they don't take time to update then you beat on them them until they do. On some things I can ha...

Re: new profile fields

Currently it just has the official released versions (3.20.2, 3.20.3, 3.20.4, etc.). I might change it 3.20.x since I can't have every possible version out there. If I add a blank custom field I'd have to decide if it would show on everyone's tool tip or no one's. It would still show when viewing a ...

new profile fields

The new site will have 3 new mandatory profile fields which I think will be helpful to both the poster and to those helping the poster. They will show up when a member places the mouse over the member's name in a post, or when viewing a member's profile. The 3 fields are: "Gambas version",...

Re: Update June 7

Because the main importer tool was for an older version of phpBB, I created a clean up tool in Gambas to help import some of the items the importer didn't want to transfer. The newer version of phpBB added lots hidden tags in all forum posts and signatures that my cleanup tool had to remove. There a...

Re: A "KNOWLEDGE BASE"?

I just wanted to touch base on this. Tips and tricks will most likely stay forum based with one entry per topic, and no ability to reply to the topic. I've been working the past couple of weeks in between other things trying to set up some sort of knowledge base using the wiki function of the new s...

Re: connect to mysql

The only difference I can see between your's and mine, is you use "localhost" and I use "127.0.0.1". Try adding "db.Debug = True" as the first line in your fordbopen(). You should get something like 2025-05-30 08:59:29.431 gb.db.mysql: 0x55b544cfc330: select left(versio...
