Re: 'Read Only' ? Help!
Problem solved ! I just found out what went wrong. When I want to run a certain class, I usually do it by right-clicking on it in the list and choose ‘Run this class’. Sometimes I choose this from the ‘Edit’ menu and there, two options down from ‘Run this class’ is ‘Locked’. Being in a hurry as usua...

'Read Only' ? Help!
Help! I’m not sure where to put this question. A form in my project suddenly can’t be edited any longer and is marked ‘read-only’. I was happily editing and switching between forms when suddenly one of them – and of course the most important one – has turned ‘read-only’. I must have clicked somethin...

The benefits of using vector graphics - revisited
This is a new version of an earlier post that – hopefully – will be deleted This isn’t about posting a new problem, but why and how to use a solved one. The problem was ‘Vector graphics support’ as you may find in the Component section. Thanks to the solution provided by Bruce we now can easily ‘st...

Re: The benefits of using vector graphics
Hi Cogier
I’ve just finished a new version of this this topic, including a nice ( ) project to demonstrate the .svg issue. I suppose that as a site admin you can delete this topic, so I can post it’s replacement. It could be confuzing to visitors if both versions stay online.

Re: How do I use 'created' controls?
Thanks Bruce.
Now I'm getting somewhere .....
But it would be a lot easier for a beginner if there were some examples to be found, wouldn't it.
Another bite of the elephant gone

How do I use 'created' controls?
Well, here’s another beginners question. I’m trying for the first time to ‘create’ a Control and use it, like this: ' Gambas class file Public MyButton As New Button(Me) Public Sub Form_Open() With MyButton .top = 10 .left = 50 .width = 60 .height = 30 .text = "Click !" End With End Public...

Re: The benefits of using vector graphics
Hi Bruce
It would indeed be usefull to let users know how to upload certain file types.
Just put it in a post fore the Beginners (like self )
Meanwhile I’m working on a small project to make the svg issue more clear for everyone.

Uploading certain file types
Sometimes when you want to include an attachment to a post you may find that the file type you want to attach is not accepted by this forum, such as vector graphics with the .svg extension. If that is the case, just archive them to a .zip, .rar, … Those will be accepted by this forum. That’s all fol...

Re: The benefits of using vector graphics
Hi Bruce and Cogier.
Thanks for the assistance.
Wouldn’t it be better to delete this post and I would post a new one where visitors will just read what this is realy about?
Cogier : PictureBox mode commands may indeed come in handy
Cheers

Re: The benefits of using vector graphics
Well, I mean the one you download at https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/illustration-uk-flag_2807791.htm. After unpacking and opening 18166.eps you can edit and save it as Union-Jack.svg. Meanwhile I have modified this post. I hope it will be clearer now. It would be a lot easier if I could just at...
