Post by Skirlou »

Hi,
I wanted to try Gambas3, but I've tried several method to install ...
and each time I got this error "gbr3: unable to load component: gb.util.web"
I'm using Ubuntu 22.10 cinnamon with Kernel 6.0.7.
I've googled this error, but it gave no result.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Please post you project as it's impossible to guess.

Is gb.util.web installed?
Not all components install with a standard gambas3 install.
Search for gambas in your package manager and install anything that might be missing
If at first you don't succeed , try doing something differently.

Hi,
I'm sorry. Maybe not enough coffee...
I should have tried this before:
sudo apt search gb.util.web
and then
sudo apt install gambas3-gb-util-web

Anyway it works, thank you for your time.

Cool 😎

You could do..
sudo apt install "gambas3*"

That will install everything.
It's only something like 30mb hd space for all of gambas.

My God man, that's 3 times the size of my first hard disk! :D
Have you ever noticed that software is never advertised using the adjective "spreadable".
