Gambas book for beginners that covers GUI

Every book about Gambas that I've seen has precious little about the GUI. As a current M$oft VB6 user hoping to migrate to Gambas, I'd really like to find a bock that concentrates on the IDE and particularly the GUI.

As a previous VB user myself i can tell you there is little you need to know.

The online wiki that also integrates into the IDE has oodles of information.
http://gambaswiki.org/wiki/

Just go to the wiki and browse the gui components section.

Or in the IDE just start typing control names and pop up lists appear showing all your options.

There's tons of examples on the software farm , some complex some simple.
You'll find it very simple compared to VB and .net

And there's plenty of help here :)

not sure exactly what you mean by a book that covers GUI
do you mean the Gambas IDE GUI or making your own GUI's ?

have you looked at the Beginners Guide to Gambas

https://www.google.com/books/edition/_/ ... qV0C?hl=en

there is also a free version to read online but it is not the latest version

also read through the first thread "Did You Know" at the top of the list .... it has a lot of hints and tricks
